Q. T. Continued....

Sunday-Manicures/Pedicures and Board Games

After Courtney's mama/my sister-n-law (Liane) left, it was time for the FUN to begin. We started with a new game to play. A game Courtney has never played before, called, Risk. If any of you ever played you know how fun it is but for those of you who haven't played its a game of strategy. It's a war game, yes with little solider men, who battle to take over the world, and whoever takes over every country wins the game.

Well, if you know me when I play games or any kind of game, I'm all talk but never win. So I was out withing the first thirty minutes. Then it was between Courtney and her Uncle Ray. She was into it very fast and very smart by every move. Until, her men starting getting thinner and thinner by Ray killing them.

RAY ENDED UP WINNING! BUT COURTNEY DEMANDED A RE-MATCH! RAY SAID "NOT TONIGHT ANOTHER NIGHT.

After the game it was time for manicures and pedicures. I painted Courtney's nails and she painted mine. We were having fun girl time. While the nails were drying time to watch Courtney's new shows on Disney. Then it was my time to watch my show, Army Wives on Lifetime. My favorite. It was very sad but its real.

Off to bed to get rest for the zoo tomorrow! Yay!

Monday-Riverbanks Zoo

We both slept in, had our brunch, watched a little TV, and ready to head to the zoo. Both were very excited. Thought it would be better than any other zoo I've been to and it was. If you never been, when you walk in its beautiful. There is about four different paths you can take to see the animals. Courtney was the navigator for the day. She did a good job, better than what I could of done.

First walked into the birdhouse...to see all sorts of birds, penguins and etc. The penguins were my favorite. Then we saw lions, hyenas, flamingos, grizzly bears, elephants, farm animals and many more. We had a blast. We missed seeing the giraffe and zebra. They were already put up for the day by the time we got there.

Toward the end of our visit we stopped at the 3D movie theater. Courtney had never been to a 3D movie, so I thought this would be the perfect time. The movie was about turtles...was a little disappointed in the movie but she enjoyed it.

On our way home from the zoo we stopped at Food Lion for dinner: lettuce for salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, and Doritos with salsa for dessert. Ended with a board game.

Tuesday-Palmetto Falls Water Park

Again, we slept in, you know us girls we need to get our beauty sleep. After our breakfast, bathing suits on, sunblock in the beach bag with the beach towels. We arrived, put sunblock on, and jumped it.

We weren't even there 15 minutes and GUESS WHAT? You would never guess. A KID VOMITED IN THE POOL! Yes a kid puked! Yuck I know. So everyone was forced to get out of the pool so they could take care of the mess. I asked one of the lifeguards how long they thought it would be. They said "It could be an hour to an hour and half". Hoping it wouldn't take that long. Thinking I picked the wrong day to come here.

About 30 minutes passed and the lifeguards motioned everyone back to the pool. I was a little weary if the water was clean or how they took care of it but I wasn't gonna stop having fun with Courtney. So back in we went. Our favorite places to be was the lazy river and the smaller of the two water-slides. The smaller ones went faster and you could race each other. Courtney won most of the time. I think she let me win at least once or twice.

After a few hours of fun in the water time to get back on the road to Camden. Had to get home, shower, eat, in time for us to make the 7:00 show for Despicable Me. We made it, even time for Ray to buy us candy. I got Starburst, Courtney got Nerds Rope, and Ray got chocolate covered nuts. I do highly recommend the movie to all of my readers. Its very cute, it's a must see.

Back home to relax, rest, and get ready for a new day tomorrow.

Wednesday-Thrift Store Shopping and Out to Eat

We both decided today would be the best to stay inside and out of the sun. Courtney got too much sun on her face due to me not reapplying sunscreen. Her mom had requested a new pocketbook. We stopped at Burkes Outlet to find the prettiest one and even better it was on SALE!

Then to a few Thrift Stores...where I bought a cute platter used for a cake plate or chips and dip, a book, a pretty box.

Back home to play Yahtzee and get a snack before our dinner out. We followed Ray's friend to Columbia for sushi at Tsunami. The sushi was great! Courtney got teriakyi chicken with fried rice and a salad. We all had a great dinner and took Courtney's home for Ray's lunch the next day.

Thursday-Pool Day with Yahtzee and Monopoly When Ray got Home

Today was a day to veg out and relax by the pool. It was our last night together so I wanted it to be fun and special. We played Yahtzee by the pool for and did swimming races.

Then to the grocery store to get ingredients for dinner. We both decided to make shake and bake chicken (quick and easy), corn pudding (quick and easy) salad, and strawberry shortcake. Which, again was all very delicious.

After our wonderful dinner, we had planned on going bowling but Ray was too tired from work so Courtney and I watched a movie on Netflix. The Race to Witch Mountain, was a cute Disney movie.

When Ray woke up we played Monopoly. From my experience of playing games with him, he always wins this game and for some reason it was getting to me. It didn't matter what he did or how many houses he bought, he won. I was very frustrated so Courtney said "lets play again and I'll be the banker". So I said "sure why not".

But once we started getting further in the game, buying houses, landing on other peoples properties, and I started having to pay. I was getting more frustrated. It was a mixture of being tired, disappointed we didn't take Courtney bowling, my future, and etc. Then, I was out of the game. They finished the game and Ray won AGAIN!

I was very frustrated for loosing, felt bad for the way I acted, and for my attitude. I had to remember it was just a game its supposed to be played for FUN.

Friday-Laundry, Packing, Drove to South of the Border

Made chocolate chip pancakes one last time for Courtney. They are the best. If you never had them, please do, you won't go back to a normal pancake again.

Then it was time to get laundry done, Courtney packed and on the road for South of the Border to meet her daddy. We blasted the radio the whole way and sang. We had such a good time together. I'm gonna miss not seeing her everyday.

Love you Courtney
Bubba
