Our vacation bible school began July 18th - July 23rd. We had about 14 preschoolers total. The school started with pledge of allegiance, then to the Christian flag, and lastly to the Bible. Afterward, it was time for worship to learn the songs the kids would be performing for their mama's and daddy's on Friday. After worship it was time for the offering. This offering was special. It was only for the children but I donated one night. Just couldn't resist not helping. Can you guess what the offering was going toward? Probably not...so here it goes...All of the offering went toward to purchase bicycles for pastors in India. Thought it was pretty amazing.
Then after prayer and offering we took our kids to their classroom. We had a set schedule for the preschoolers which was great. Our nights consisted of: about 15min of playground time, Bible story time, craft time, snack time, and at the end play time again before their parents came to pick them up. All of the kids really enjoyed it.
Our church sent vans around the community to pick up children/families to bring them to VBS. It gave us as a church the opportunity to reach out and introduce those to Jesus.
Friday night being the last night was performance night. To show their mama's and daddy's what they learned throughout the week. All of the kids did a great job. Our church prays for the new families we've met and hope that they'll come back on a Sunday morning.
After all the wonderful children performed...it was time to have fun behind the church in the parking lot. They had blow up bouncy things, hay ride, snow cones, hot dog plates and horses.

I had such a great time helping with the preschoolers. It makes me want to be with kids more and more. Such a rewarding job, teaching children couldn't ask for anything better. Y'all keep praying that I'll get a job with children, specifically a nanny position.
