Worship, Shopping, and Relaxing

Worshiped at Awaken. They started a new series Family Vacation. It doesn't matter if you have kids or if your married or if your not married. This series is for everyone. Here is some notes that I had taken:

Deuteronomy 6:1-9
1. Parents relationship with God sets the tone especially dads.
-dad's are spiritual leaders of the family
2. Marriage is PRIORITY!
-shows kids how a marriage is supposed to be
3. Parent with one eye on eternity
-it is okay to say no to your kids
-its about God's will not your kids will
4.Remember not to live your life through your kids
-don't push them to do things if they are not interested
5.Demonstrate prayer
-pray over meals
-disasters
-everyday

After our wonderful time of worship we did a little shopping. Ray took me to Michaels to browse and we went to Kroger. We both enjoy going grocery shopping together and finding new, organized, nicer stores. Ray was impressed with Kroger. This store is huge. It can be overwhelming if your used to shopping a smaller stores but it has everything you could dream of. We bought freshly made sushi for lunch, salmon and scallops for dinner.

Ray and I

Recently my car has been acting up. The coolant has been leaking out which makes my car get hot. After church we walked out to my car and there on the ground was all the coolant that I had put in my car on Wednesday. So Ray put more coolant in the container.

On a side note:
It just gets frustrating to have your car break down or have something wrong with it that needs to be fixed. I take my car for granted. Its gotten me around for the last five years. Its 11 years old and has over 200,000 miles. So yes its gonna need some repairs. But when this happens it just feels like another thing to do and I FREAK out. But I know Ray will be there for me and help me take care of it.

I spent my afternoon reading one of my new books. It is so good that its addicting. I only have 3 chapters left and can't wait to finish.

Ray made dinner it was delcious.

Yay, for another beautiful weekend!
