Bubba's ready for thrift shopping
We both got up early to hit a huge yard sale in Columbia that a church was having for a fundraiser. It started at 6am and was lasting till 3pm. We left about 8am and stopped at McDonald's for good hearty breakfast. McDonald's was hopping (busy) so after our long wait in line on our way toward Columbia on I20 to find new treasures.
My Breakfast
Here is some of our treasures we found
Ray found these Disney movies
(now we just have to buy a VHS player)
Creative Memories Scrapbook
(only $5 with extra pages, if you scrapbook you know that's a good deal)
All the new books I got
(my goal is to do more reading)
Ray with his new game
Ray bought this game for 50cents
(saw it selling online for $100, hopefully he can make some money)
After the yard sale we found a new thrift store just down the road: its called Roundabout Consignments. It wasn't opened quite yet but there was a big line waiting at the door. We both saw the sign that said "Sale", knew it had to be good so we decided to go to the Tanger Outlets to walk around till they opened.
About 30min later we arrived at Roundabouts Consignment. This was like no other thrift store we've been to. They had employees passing out cups of water, cups of m&m's, nuts and more. This store was a more sophisticated thrift store. The prices were listed by when they arrived and by a certain date the price would decrease. All the clothing was more expensive than what your used to at a normal thrift store but they were all in good condition. They also had furniture. I spotted a vanity I wanted, but Ray said he would of bought it for me if we were in a house but we didn't have anywhere to put it. We also found a cool modern rocking chair but someone had already bought it. We didn't buy any treasures but we had fun looking.
On our drive back home we found a Farmers Market right in downtown Camden. There were tents up, produce, flowers, baked good and goat products. We stopped to browse. I sampled all the goat cheeses they had to offer and purchased the regular kind (thought it tasted the best.
Our last stop was the Camden Flea Market. Ray got fishing equipment as well as tools. I got new Tupperware containers in great condition. This market is smaller than regular markets but it was fun to walk around and see what they had to offer.
After our shopping time to get some lunch at home and relax. I laid by the lake and read before I had to go to work.
