Day 1 with Shawn Mikaela

Ray's sister (Shawn) and her girlfriend (best friend Mikaela) arrived on Thursday the 13th early morning around 7ish. When I got home, they were still sleeping from their trip. Decided to make breakfast, breakfast casserole, easy & quick & delicious! After breakfast, we had all gotten ready to go shopping (thrift store). As we made our way out the door, Shawn realized she was more tired than she'd had though. So she decided to take a nap and Kaela and I did some girl talk to get to know one another better.

Few hours later when Shawn woke up we had girl bonding time. Shawn had brought her full manicure set with all of her options of nail polish! As well as her new manicure decorating kit-used to put different designs on your nails. We had lots of fun!


I painted my nails...but then didn't realize that nail polish remover was stuck to my paper towel. Then had to clean it up, and this is how my manicure turned out.

That night I invited Bill & Barb to come over for dinner. I tried a new Mexican burrito recipe. The recipe called for chicken but instead of buying chicken (I know I'm cheap) I used venison burger instead. Didn't know how it would turn out since I made it ahead of time. After all, it was a hit!

We ended the night with a few family pictures!
