Will You Be My Valentine

Normally the McCallister's don't normally celebrate Valentines Day but this year was different. Ray had a plan and was determined to make it happen. He called three different five star restaurant's in Columbia, being that two of the three were booked left him with making reservations at Momo's Bistro.

Knowing what he had planned I knew I had to look my best. I got my hair cut and colored in the morning. Then went to Columbia to find the perfect dress for a perfect evening. I got home in time to put my face on and to touch up my hair.

We made it to Momo's Bistro just in time for reservation with out getting lost. As we entered the restaurant the mood was set with the lightning and with the live music. Our table was at the other end of the restaurant which was without the lightning and music. At first I was disappointed because I felt like we were missing out, but in the end it was more quaint and quiet.

Ray went ahead and ordered our appetizer (scallops) with a bottle of wine. One of the chefs brought us an appetizer, it was a cheese and crackers. He went through the spiel of describing the different types of cheese, Ray and I just looked at each other knowing it wasn't ours but we went ahead and tried the different types of cheese (which was very good). Then our appetizer of scallops came out and they were the biggest scallops I've ever scene and delicious as ever. Being that we got the other tables appetizer they weren't very pleased that were enjoying every bite with not having to pay for it.

After being there for an hour we went ahead and ordered our entrees. Ray ordered Kangaroo (yes he really did) and I ordered a seafood entree with pasta. Now your probably stuck on Ray eating Kangaroo but you have to know all I could think about was the ones at the zoo and how cute the are and were. But seeing it on the plate, looking like steak covered with brown gravy we couldn't deny it. Seeing Ray try it and he didn't deny it, it was my turn and little did I know Kangaroo is soooo good, it beat my seafood entree!

For dessert I ordered bread pudding and it was amazing!

If you've never been to Momo's Bistro we both highly recommend but not every weekend because it is pricey but it is worth to go every now and then.

  2. Thanks for being my date Sweetie, I had a lot of fun with you. I am also glad I was able to cross kangaroo off my list of zoo animals I haven't eaten yet. Now does anyone know where I can get a good giraffe burger?
