Weekend of Fun

Friday
Early in the morning our company left. They left hitting the road to Asheville NC to see the Biltmore on their way home back to Michigan. After having a houseful of company it was hard to be alone. So I relaxed, updated my blog while watching my new addicted show: Glee (most of all I love the performances).

After Ray got out of work we went to our first comedy club with Ray's friends in Columbia. We both had such a great time and looking forward to going again soon. We ate dinner there at the club, not knowing what to expect it was all really good. Ray ordered the chicken platter and I ordered steak with shrimp.

My Dinner (I'm not one to usually order steak but this was DELICIOUS)!

Saturday
Was a relaxing beautiful day. Spent my morning/afternoon watching Glee, exercised (walked) at my local park, then a nap before work.

My work night was slow at first but by 7PM the restaurant was packed. I had two tables in my section for the night but only had three tables all night and made $77. My last table was a couple of guys they said I did a great job and asked if I wanted to go to Las Vegas with them at the end of the month. I responded with "No thanks, I don't think my husband would like that". They said "We should of known".

Around 8PM-9PM while looking outside it did not look good. A bad storm was on its way. Out of no where it hit, wind blowing like crazy, power flickering on and off leaving all the street lights off as well as the stoplights. The restaurant cleared out in a hurry only leaving a few guests at the bar.

Sunday
Went to Awaken for worship. Afterward we went to our local Revolutionary War site here in Camden. They were having a reenactment. There was several people all dressed up, with armies, tents, war vehicles, and etc.

I was amazed by this ladies dress

After our time at the site time to stop at Piggly Wiggly to pick up a few groceries. Ray made steak and I made my famous sweet potato casserole and a glass of wine. It was all very delicious.

Yay, to another great and fun weekend.
