Its Christmas Time

It has been a while since my last post. Let me update y'all what we've been up to. When we returned from Thanksgiving break I had exactly 13 days of work left. Our coffee shoppe was open 7 days a week due to finals and we were all looking forward to December 11th at 6PM (closing time). That Friday was cleaning day it was more like spring cleaning...we wanted to make sure everything was clean spotless before we left for break since were not going to return until January 4th. At first I was worried about being off work so long, but I have to look at it from a positive side. I have time to bake Christmas goodies, shop, wrap presents and clean my house. Today, I applied for unemployment...lets all pray that I get it.

Last week Ray and I went to the singing Christmas trees at New Prospect Baptist Church. It was amazing. It was our first year going and I highly recommend every one to attend. If you haven't this year be sure that you go next year. It starts the first day of December and last the whole first week. Its awesome, our choir does a terrific job! Wish I would of invited our friends the Rada's (totally forget all about it) sorry Laura maybe next year we can go together. That's where we got our Christmas card picture taken with our matching shirts. I thought the shirts we too darn cute and they would be cute on a Christmas card for our family back in Michigan since it say y'all and if you know me I love saying y'all I may not say it right but I sure do like saying it.

Also, got my hair did by J-Lowe actually Jessica Lowe. I told her I wanted something different with my color...I mentioned maybe putting some blond in my hair...but forgot to tell her that I didn't want it to be too blond, but she knew exactly what I wanted it turned out perfect. Its the best I've had since I've been down here. She said I look better with lighter hair than darker. I think I agree with that. Thanks again to J-Lowe.

My dad arrived at our house December 11th in the afternoon. He would of been here around noon time but he had a detour in Asheville due to a rock-slide so he ended up going like 2hrs out of his way. But he finally made it to Anderson about 3ish and took a nap. I got about about 7:30 and dad took Ray and I out to dinner Ray picked the place (Fugi) a terrific Japanese steak house and sushi. I think its our favorite place....they have really good food. My dad tried the sushi well a Japanese egg roll (think it was too small and filled with fish) not like the egg rolls from the Chinese rolls he is used to. But he really enjoyed the other food! It was very scrumptious. Saturday, we went to Wal-Mart to exchange his present I got him since I bought him the wrong size (I do that all the time) you would think I would know by know. Anyways, we did a little shopping and went out to eat at Ryan's. Stopped at the video store on the way home, rented Jeff Dunham's comedy stand ups which are hilarious highly recommend if you haven't watched yet, and of course rented Elf, with Will Farrell. Ray made dinner that night, rice with chicken, potatoes with onions and mushrooms, very good. And we all played cribbage and then it was off to bed. Miss you lots dad wish y'all could come more often.

Today I had my Christmas party at work. It was from 1pm-3pm. We arrived about 1:10 walked in to get my ticket for door the prizes and to sign in. As we entered the HR people asked me if that guy (Ray) was my boyfriend and and I said no he is my husband and they said you can't bring spouses to the party its only an employee party. Which, I had asked my boss prior to the party if it was ok to bring Ray. I guess it is just miss communication. And the HR person that was talking to me had told me boss to make sure that I was there...Obviously, I was going to be winning something. So we left...Come to find out I got Employee Of The Month winning $250. My boss called me about it and was sorry I couldn't stay to attend the party.

My friend Delong and I before I got kicked out.
