Saturday, was another eventful day. It was first spent meeting of my best friends (Laura) for breakfast at Cracker Barrel (which is one of my favorite places to eat). It nice catching up with one another, wish we could get together more often. The night was our Sunday school Christmas party. The party was held at our friends Tiffany and Al Albertson. Everyone brought a dish to pass and each person brought an ornament to play dirty Santa. Know if you've never played dirty Santa here is the rules: each person picks a number out of the bucket 1-the total number of the party, number 1 gets to open the 1st present, then number two can steel number 1's present and if your present gets stolen than you open a new gift, and so on and so on. It is a lot of fun...When we were told to bring ornaments I had asked Ray if he thought it would be ok if we just took a couple ornaments from our tree (well they weren't exactly on our tree) so when someone opened one of our ornaments Ray goes "Yeah we brought that one it was from our tree". And I butted in and said "It wasn't exactly on our tree", since she had said "Well do you want it back". I was thinking to myself, Ray what were you thinking when you said that but he thought it was like the white elephant gift giving (you know, you take something from your house you don't use and wrap it) well this party wasn't like that. Next year I'll make sure Ray knows either way what kind of party it is.
Anyways, we had such a great time talking with one another and it was wonderful meeting a new friend (her name is Kathryn). She lives in Savannah, GA where my most wonderful famous person lives which is Paula Deen. And if y'all know me you know I love Paula Deen. However, meeting Kathryn was such a blessing. She is such a wonderful godly, caring, nice person. I'm glad I was able to meet her. It seems like I've known her forever. Thanks to Laura for introducing us.
Sunday, Ray was Zachariah in a skit at church. He didn't have to say anything mostly he was just a prop for the pastor to do his sermon. He sure did look cute in his robe. The afternoon was spent with the Rada's and our new friend Kathryn came over for lunch. Ray grilled venison hamburgers, shrimp, and chicken. It was all delicious.
We had such a great weekend. Thank you Lord for blessing us with wonderful Christian friends that will help us and guide us.
Have to show you these cute pictures of Milo when he fell asleep in his favorite blanket on the couch. He is our little baby.
Milo as our Christmas present.
I enjoyed meeting you too! You're welcome to come to Savannah any time to visit me and, of course, visit Paula Deen! :) So glad I have great friends in Anderson.
