McCallister's are Lakeside

The McCallister's yet again moved to a new residence that they call their home. Their home is surrounded by a large red deck just waiting for their friends to enjoy the sunshine, a BBQ and an ice cold beer. Looking out the back door is a beautiful view of Lake Wateree. The calmness of the lake is relaxing yet helps you let go of your worries or fears that you may have at that very moment. The wildlife is different from in the city but yet so refreshing.

Some people may think we move too much which may be true. At times it is hard for me leaving friends and family. But if we never moved or tried new things we wouldn't have new memories or experiences. We always wanted to travel so I look at us moving as us traveling. Even though it may not be too far from our previous residence its a new beginning.

We've only been at our new residence for a couple of weeks now and we are enjoying every minute and moment. Each night we fish together either on the dock or in the boat. Neither of us were big fisherman before we moved here, but we've picked up on it and try to do it at least every night. We already purchased a glow-in-the-dark bobber but we haven't caught a fish on it yet. Were hoping it will pay off!

Were not sure how long we will be here since the house is up for sale but were going to make the most of our time and our summer here on Lake Wateree!

  1. it sounds like a wonderful summer adventure living on a lake and being able to drop a line in the water every time you would like to have catfish for supper!!! just like up home when you can just go to the back 40 and shoot a buck and fill your freezer for future meals!! Sounds like the old days when all you had to do is 'have a weapon' and go outside and hunt something up and then drag it back inside for lunch!! you both will enjoy all the entertainment of taking the boat out and exploring all the islands and checking out the other parts of the lake!!! Wishing you both all the best at this house that you've made into a home. love you both and thanks for putting up the blog again --- I sure missed it.

  2. Home is where your heart is. Every place we have moved, we have lived there together. No matter how many times the scenery may change, I will be happy as long as you are there to share it with me.
