True Love

We all are looking for the same thing true love
We will do anything to find that special someone
We have a list of expectations for them to meet
If they don't then were ready to meet our new prospect

Gods Love is Our True Love
His love is patient, kind, it does not boast, it does not envy and is not proud
His love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs
His love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always preserves

We want our true love to love us everyday even when we we don't feel it
We want to feel special and wanted
We want our relationship to be like a movie or a fairy tale
We want whats impossible

Gods Love is Our True Love
His love is patient, kind, it does not boast, it does not envy and is not proud
His love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs
His love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always preserves

We put so much pressure on those that we love
All the pressures and expectations we end up setting them up for failure
Why can't we take them for who they are, is loving unconditionally impossible?
We look at what we want instead of what God wants for our relationships

Gods Love is Our True Love
His love is patient, kind, it does not boast, it does not envy and is not proud
His love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs
His love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always preserves

True love is found in Christ
He is the one that is always there lending a hand
He has never given up or walked out
He laid his life down because he loved us
He has been there in the beginning and will be there forever
We don't tend to think about Christ as being our true love
But its true God is our true love, because the Bible said so

Gods Love is Our True Love
His love is patient, kind, it does not boast, it does not envy and is not proud
His love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs
His love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always preserves

  1. TRUE LOVE is definitely what we all seek out to find in real life always forgetting that we already have it from the very beginning. If we ever do find it,it makes it impossible to let go of it no matter the circumstances or who we lose in the aftermath. I believe that loving unconditionally is possible with god in the relationship but he has to be priority not a back up . I have found it and it is AMAZING!!!!!!

  2. I can especially relate to the part about how we set up those we love for failure because we are expecting them to be perfect or read our minds. I even do this with myself. I set myself up for failure because I want to be the perfect mom and wife and some days any little mistake can be devastating, I just feel worthless, like nothing I do is right or good enough. However, one thing that helps me get over myself and disappointment with others is learning to see them and me through God's eyes. Just like your post says, I am loved with a perfect love despite my short coming and nothing I can do will make Him love me less. I am a chosen daughter of the King. If only I could remember that all the time. When I try and see Craig through God's eyes it helps me not get so angry or hurt when he doesn't meet all my expectations. When I see him as the man God created, just the way He knew would be best, and that He loves that creation and chose him to be his child. It makes him easier to show grace to and love the way God intended. We are so blessed to have a God who is so personal and loves us with a love we can always trust and rely on. Thank you for posting this. It really made me think about God's blessings.
