Yes I said new job. I know some of you may be thinking new job again, but yes. I'm OVER Texas Roadhouse and ready for a new start, a new beginning. I've been praying, frustrated, confused on where I need to be in the workplace. A new door has opened and I'm ready to see what lies ahead.
Store Front

My new job is a serving job at a restaurant here in Camden called: Sam Kendall's. Its a lot smaller than Texas Roadhouse which I really like. Its also a higher level ambiance. It has a full list of wine on the menu as well as beer. When you get sat the hostess sits them and tells them the specials for the evening. Could you imagine that even happening at Texas Roadhouse? Absolutely not because half of the time the hostess sit guests at the wrong tables or they double sit people when not sitting you which does get pretty frustrating. Also, no sidework (no cutting lemons, cleaning, stocking, or rolling silverware) as well as cleaning your tables. This makes me very happy.
Before I can go on my own I had to pass 5 different tests. I know some of you may be thinking tests! Yes, you have to know what your selling because that's how you make BIG tips. Here is a list of the tests I had to complete: table test (know your table numbers, so you can run food to the right table), service test (how to treat your guest), sellsmanship test (how to be a good salesman instead of an order taker), menu test (know the whole menu), bar test (know whats in all the mixed drinks, types of beer, well brands of alcohol and so on.
Finally finished all of my tests this past Thursday and will start Monday on my own. I am a little nervous to be on my own since this environment is totally different than Texas Roadhouse, especially more proper. But I am very happy that it is only 5 minutes away versus 30 minutes away on the highway.
Here is a link to the menu if y'all will be interested.

Yay, for a new job. I will keep you updated.
