My Birthday Eve

Sunday March 20th

Went to church to start a new series Christ Alone which will lead up to Easter. After the great sermon we went grocery shopping to one of our favorite grocery stores. Never thought I would say that or be so happy about a grocery store. But Super Bi-Lo it is. After dropping about $70 now time to go home, put groceries away, and cook. Ray cooked lunch, Bubba Burgers (named after me, not really) and ribs from the deli.

Ray had bought fishing poles earlier this week but never had a chance to go. What better time than a Sunday afternoon. As he walked out he had two fishing poles in hand. Was thinking he wanted me to go but he didn't ask. So after I got off the phone over to the lake I walked.

Ray getting all his fishing gear ready to catch the big one.

Ray being himself. He awlays hates how many pictures I try to take of him for the blog so here is what he did. Can you locate what my great husband is doing?

Caught in action. My handsome fisherman.

Me pretending to fish. Since I didn't have a license Ray didn't want me to fish in case a DNR stopped by. And guess what? While I was holding the fishing pole Ray was away from me and spotted a DNR, ran over to me and said "I told you not to be fooling around fishing when you don't have a license because the DNR is here right now". I was instantly worried I didn't want to get fined or go to JAIL. So I immediately dropped the fishing pole and walked home. The DNR guy was talking to another fisherman so that let me go without him asking me any questions. About 5 minutes later he went down and asked Ray for his license. Thank God I left.

The evening Ray planned to go bowling with our friends the Catoe's. Ray knew I had to work on my birthday and he worked during the day so that didn't give us much to do on my birthday. We each played two games. My first game, bowled 109 and my second 92. Not the greatest but it was lots of fun.

They have a bowling league opening up within the upcoming weeks and were thinking about joining as a couples group. The McCallister's and the Catoe's. Ray and his friend Johnny has both been on leagues. The last time Ray was on a league was in high school, so it has been awhile for him. As for Johnny its only been a couple of years. And as for the wives we've never been on a league, were not the greatest but we have lots of fun.
(forgot my camera so no pictures from bowling)

Ray stayed up till midnight to wish me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and to give me my presents. Can y'all guess what he gave me? DRUM-ROLL PLEASE......It was a gift certificate for a 1hr massage, manicure, and a pedicure. I was so excited. In one of the cards that had the manicure and pedicure in it, he wrote Happy Birthday Mom, love Milo meow, Alex meow.
(isn't that so sweet)

Happy 25th Birthday to Me!!!
