HW.......... Continued

Sunday, set the alarm early to get up and start cleaning. Since we had a showing in the afternoon wanted to make sure I would be able to get everything done. Before you know it, it was time to get ready for church. We hadn't been at New Prospect in a few weeks, it was nice to get back and see our friends at Sunday School.

Pastor Tony Smith's sermon was great-I felt like he was speaking directly to me. Have you ever had that? I took a few notes, hope you don't mind if I share, maybe it will help you just as much as it helped me.

Laboring for the Lord

-Jobs are a blessing/Be Happy you have a job
-Work is not a punishment it is a privilege
-Work is a command
-Work is to be a witness

Clothe yourselves within

1. Compassion
2. Kindness
3. Humility
4. Gentleness
5. Patience
6. Peace

A dairy maid can milk a cow for the glory of God! Can you do your work for the glory of God?

Colossians 3:24
It is the Lord Jesus you are serving.
(I really felt this verse speaking to me because ever since I've been given the opportunity at Texas Roadhouse to be a server/waitress. I've been scared, nervous of starting a new job and how other people will look at me being a college graduate and I'm a waitress. But by looking at this verse, it has serve right in the word. Then I thought if Jesus came into my restaurant, sat at my table, how would I serve him? And then I thought this job won't be bad because I have god on my side.

-Do your jobs submissively
(obey in all things)

-Do your job well even though no one is watching! BECAUSE God is WATCHING all the TIME!

-Do your job ENTHUSIASTICALLY
ATTITUDE is everything!

After this wonderful sermon from our pastor back to the house to finish cleaning. In the meantime we did get a cancellation for the showing of our house. We both were a little disappointed but glad we were able to get the house looking in top shape.

Then back on the road...to Camden...stopped at Taco Bell for lunch, fresco tacos and the NEW flat bread sandwich (amazing and cheap). Then to Citgo for gas and a diet drink and water. Arrived back at Camden about 6, ready to see our kiddos and they were excited to see us.
