Saturday November 9th we planned an early Thanksgiving lunch with friends on the lake. It was a low key event. Each guest was asked to bring their favorite dish or their favorite drink to pass. My neighbor let me borrow her table and table cloth to make it more festive for the holiday.
Our event began at 1pm, shortly after everyone started to arrive. Each with their favorite dishes and drinks. The McCallister's prepared "sweet baby ray's BBQ chicken, stuffing balls, and pumpkin balls for dessert. We had a wide range of dishes from: squash casserole, green bean casserole, cranberries, veggie tray, cocktail shrimp, and a cheese tray. Everyone got their first round and couldn't resist getting seconds.
After our wonderful lunch, it was time to veg out, watch some college football and play games. We let one of our friends pick out a game since we had such a big collection. He picked out a new one called "name 5 things". It was not a strategy game, one that Ray normally prefers so he can figure out how to beat us all. These games are best for us because its luck hoping we can beat Ray.
