About a month ago the chamber sent us information on the parade saying something like: you could rent a professionally made float for $300, the theme is Saddling up For Christmas, or you can decorate your own float but you still have to pay $25 to be in the parade. When reading this I instantly thought, we are not purchasing a float for $300 that we are only going to be using for about 2 hours.
During this time I talked to Chuck and tried to figure out what we were gonna do for the parade. I thought the most basic and easiest would be best. Just having our van pull our yellow trailer and decorate the yellow trailer with garland. But then the chamber sent a new letter the week of the parade saying please decorate around the theme, you can dress up in costumes, have music or lights. As I was reading the letter they sent I was second thinking what we were gonna do.
I immediately starting texting my good friend Amber on ideas. She instantly texted back with great ideas that were unique and very clever. This was Wednesday, Thursday she came to the office and we started decorating and putting things together, Friday was the day before the parade but this was our day of decorating the trailer and putting everything together.
When I say put everything together I mean literally put everything together. Amber came up with an idea of making everything out of materials we had at the shop so people could see what we do and actually see the materials. We made horses out of sawhorses, with roofing as the saddle, the neck was a downspout, the head was cut out from gutter coil, the tail was a mop, and the other horses tail was a brush.

Chuck let the guys work with the girls the afternoon. They were a great help with their ideas. We couldn't of done it without them.
