Our appointment for the zipline was at 2PM. We arrived early and were able to start early too. We filled out our waivers, got in our harnesess and helmets. The guide went through the directions of the dos and don'ts of ziplining. After that we were good to go.
We climed the first stairs, got on the platform, secured on the line all ready to go. The guide went first so we knew what to do and what to expect. Then it was my turn, as I was looking down I was a little nervous, but I went and jumped and the line held up, the harness was all good, I was safe and riding the zipline through the woods. Next was Ray's turn. As he got to the other side with me I could tell he was having fun, which made me very excited!
There was about 8 different ziplines that you rode. One of the ziplines was bouncy. Which meant, you sat like you were sitting in a chair, then the guide at the other side pulled the main line up and down and you went up and down with water underneath you that felt like you were going to fall in but you never did. This one was a lot of fun.
The evening we went shopping and out to eat. We found this steakhouse in front of the mall right there in Asheboro. The parking lot was full, what caught our eye. We each ordered different entrees. We both enjoyed our dinner very much!

The next day we went to the NC Zoo. It was cool in the morning, in the 30's but if you were in the sun it wasn't as bad. There wasn't as many animals out due to the weather but we enjoyed our time together.
To many more years together!
