Snow Days in The South=Milk & Bread

It was only a week ago on Monday that the news was talking about the south receiving a big snow storm with sleet and an accumulation of 2-3 inches of snow. When southerners hear this on the news they get excited because they know schools will be closed and if they get lucky even their employers will be closed too. More importantly the southerners bombard the grocery stores to stock up on milk and bread with leaving the shelves empty. As being born a Yankee milk and bread doesn't make since but a southern that's the one thing they run to, to make sure they have at home.

Due to the news reporters saying the storm was going to begin mid-morning Tuesday afternoon the schools didn't want to take a chance so all schools were closed but all employers were most than likely opened. Little did the reporters know that the storm didn't hit us till late Tuesday evening leaving a winter wonderland. All schools and employers were closed Wednesday. Some employers were even closed Thursday (which Ray's was) and the schools had 2 hour delays Thursday and Friday.

We woke up Wednesday morning to a winter wonderland. Being that I enjoy the snow more than Ray I took the opportunity to venture out to snap a few pictures. The snow was fluffy good to make a snowman but not enough as I had wanted. It was beautiful seeing the birds signing and flying. Most of all it reminded me of home.

Thursday morning there still was snow but was gradually melting due to the temperatures rising. We enjoyed our snow days full of movies (Netflix), hot coco and card games!

Yay! For Snow Days in the South!
