This was Camden's 17th annual outdoor music festival. The function was held at the Revolutionary War site off of HWY 521 toward the interstate. Being that the festival was outside it made it more comfortable for everyone, since your able to bring your own chairs, blankets, drinks and coolers. Their was a concession stand available on the premises which was selling: snow cones, BBQ, coffee or tea.

You may ask why were they selling coffee or tea in the middle of July, when its so hot? The reason for the hot beverages was the rain. Being that it had rained for the past 2 1/2 - 3 weeks, those hot beverages were available if anyone needed to warm up after the showers.

The festival is based on local bands near or around Kershaw County. There may be smaller bands or bigger bands or even soloists. Its fun to see the difference between all of them. My favorite was one of the soloists bands. He was a younger guy that was able play the guitar, sing like no other artist and able to be so creative by making each song his own.

Shortly after hearing our favorite band we headed back to the lake to beat the big storm that was approaching Camden. Till next year, hopefully there won't be any rain for next years show.
