When Wrestling Comes to Camden

Dear my fellow readers sorry for not keeping my promise for keeping my posts updated. As you read, you will read about our adventures from the month of December. The first weekend it was our first experience of live wrestling (like WWF which isn't real if you didn't know) here in Camden. The event started at 8PM and tickets were only $5 per person. The price was right for this frugal couple, which made for a great date night.

We started out at the concession stand getting drinks (2 diet drinks) and concession food. I wanted a chili cheese dog (I suppose that doesn't go so well with the diet drink if I'm trying to loose weight but it sounded good), I ended up getting a slice of Pizza from Pizza Hunt which was way more filling and tasted better.

We made our way to the bleachers finding a great seat so we could see the fighters fight with a great view. We found the perfect spot in between young children, that were in elementary school. They were so excited to see the fights and weren't scared to show their excitement  The fight began at 8PM and they ranged from small guys, to medium sized to bigger and even to woman fighters.

The woman fighters
All the fighters were working the crowd with their wrestling tactics and moves. The crowds favorite was Gunner, his fight was the finale of the night. If you don't know you him he is a big man with long brown hair and looks like leather due to too much tanning but the crowd (being the kids) loved Gunner. Now Gunner was a big man one of the biggest all night and he was fighting an average size man. But the man he was fighting was muscular and knew how to work the crowd, however, the kids were still pulling for Gunner.

As Gunner and his opponent got into the fight and were fighting for awhile the kids kept cheering and wouldn't stop till Gunner was the winner. The children behind us were hilarious  Well just the little girl, she was about 8 or 9 with no front teeth and screaming on the top of her lungs "PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE GUNNER, PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE GUNNER". A few times I noticed her screaming for Gunner to punch his opponent in the face as she noticed me she became shy and stopped shouting but when I looked back at the fight she didn't stop and again it came "GUNNER PUNCH HIM IN THE FACE"! It was hilarious!

Then about 30-40 minutes later it felt like, Gunner won the fight and the crowd went wild especially the little girl that was sitting behind me with the no teeth! She was one of his #1 fans and was very proud.

We both had a great time at the (WWF Wrestling Match) not sure if they were true WWF wrestlers but I think they were working up to it. But if you've never been I ensure you to go next year for 3-4 hours of fun for only $5! You can't pass that up!
