I was able to get out of work early on Friday so I could get on the road and drive to my brothers in NC for Brittney's birthday party. She had no idea what her mama had planned. She originally said "she didn't want a party that she'd just have a few friends over". Some of her friends she did invite over said no, since they needed to be at Salem Pizza early for her surprise party.
The day of her party she was feeling down that on one wanted to come over. She said "I'm gonna make my own birthday cake". Hearing her say that made me feel a little sad for her. So, during the afternoon when she went out for a birthday lunch with some of her friends I was busy in the kitchen making her cake and cookies.
When she arrived back home her friends, sisters, Nana, and I played cards before dinner. Now, Brittney knew we were going out for dinner at Salem Pizza but she had no idea it was going to be so many people.
Delaney, Liane, Nana and I arrived early so I could get pictures of her walking in being surprised. Let me tell you, she was very surprised! She was very happy so many people came out to celebrate her birthday.
