Oh, I have a little story to tell y'all. You would not believe what happened to me on my drive home a couple of weeks ago. I left work about 2:15 in the morning on my way through Fants Grove, which if you've never heard of Fan'ts Grove it is a beautiful through the country but with a lot of curves but when I go through Fants it reminds of home. Well on my way turning a curve I saw this bright light and it wasn't headlights I was thinking the woods were on fire. As I made my way closer I saw a car in the ditch on my side and it was on fire! I immediately panicked. As I drove up ahead I saw three kids on the side of the road. I got out of my car and was asking if they needed anything and if they have called 911. They said yes but the kid that was on the ground was needing a blanket said he was freezing...All I had was my coat so I gave him that until the ambulance got there. I asked what happened...the boy that was hurt said the driver thought he saw something when going around the curve and panicked...he swerved to hit the deer. As the ambulance arrived they took a look at the boy that was hurt asked him questions like whats your name, are you able to walk, did you walk from the car to get here. They put him on a board and a neck brace and put him into the ambulance. There was three people in the car the two boys and a girl. The boy that was in the passenger seat was the only one that was hurt. His face was bleeding and he got glass in his foot. I told the driver that I would give him a drive to the hospital but as time passed he said he had to wait until the owner of the vehicle arrived. After this experience I felt like God was trying to tell me something (with my career) since I've been telling Ray that I want to help people...I kinda felt like I'm suppose to be an EMT? But am still listening. But I may be reading too much into it.
Our Halloween Party went really well. Three couples came which was perfect! Ray grilled his famous chicken, and corn on the cob. I made chocolate covered pretzels, sugar Halloween cookies, Mexican chip dip and of course we had candy. Oh, and Ray made dirt which was crushed up Oreo cookies with chocolate pudding with gummy worms in it, it sounds gross being called dirt but it was really delicious and sweet. We didn't play any games but it was nice to catch up in our friends lives and see how their doing since life just gets in the way sometimes its hard to keep each other in touch on their lives. The Moody's came as new parents, The Southergills came as runners, The Rada's came as Hippies, and Ray was a blind referee and I was a witch. Thanks to all our friends that made it to our party we really did appreciate it and we love having people over. Here is a few pictures from the party.
