Courtney's 11th Birthday Party
Courtney Lee Mixon is my 3rd niece of my brothers girls. This was her first year to have a birthday party. Her mom (Liane) my sister-n-law went all out. Wanting her to have the joy of her lifetime on her first birthday that she'll remember forever. Well let me just tell y'all, I totally forgot how 11yr. olds act. They are all are nothing, if they aren't having any fun, you better watch out cause they are gonna find a way to have fun. Courtney and her friends stayed up all night, going swimming in the pool, running around the yard, girl talk, doing girl stuff. Me being only 23 I was out by 12:30, they were still going full throtle.
Courtney invited me down to share her turning 11 years old with her, also she wanted me to make her a birthday cake for the party. I was honored that my niece that I was cool enough to make her a cake that was cool! Work let me take a day off of work, and I was on my way to Salemburg, NC on May 29 to celebrate her lol hou birthday.
When I arrived, straight to the kitchen to start making cupcakes for the party night, with all her girlfriends coming over. I made a double batch which was about 48 cupcakes. No, they didn't get eaten all that night, but they were all gone by the next. I was glad because I didn't want to take any home, since I had to make her birthday cake for Saturday! I know what your thinking, thats a lot of cake, which yes it was! But you know girls the more sweets the better!
